I'm BACK!!!

Again, it's been too long. I'm going to attempt to make a personal goal now to blog once a week. At least. Can it be done?? We will see! So the boys are now almost 17 months. yikes! Where has time gone? Let me tell you it hasn't exactly been a "kick back" relaxed last few months. These boys are running, walking, climbing, wrestling, eating, babbling, exploring, and did I mention they are everywhere! A quick overview of the last few months as a whole, then I will break it down for each baby....I mean toddler.

They have all gotten their first haircuts. They have also all gotten a case (or two) of double ear infections, colds, chest colds, etc. They love playing with wheels, bubbles, and most of all anything that has water! When it's hot, we set up a water park in the backyard and they go crazy! We definitly have water babies. Too bad it's been so cold lately! We are now working on eating off of a plate with a fork. It's.....interesting. They definitly try hard but it's a work in progress! We also love going to gym class, playing in the park and trying to keep up with the big kids!

BRODY

Brody...my little Brody. He is about 25 lbs of lean, long baby. Most of his weight is probably in his head. Brody has definitly turned into mommy's baby. He loves when I'm in the room and let's me know how he feels when I'm not....very loudly. He is the best and most careful climber. He is our brainy baby. He aboslutly loves to get books, sit on a lap, and read and point out pictures. He can find certain pictures in books, and when he's done, he'll get up, grab another book and sit back down in your lap. He gets so proud of himself when he finds pictures and gives the biggest smile showing off all his teeth. He has all but his second molars in. He has a mouthful of pearly whites and makes sure to show them all when he smiles. Brody is the best wrestling partner for daddy. He loves to get knocked over, get back up and go after his daddy over and over. He is super snuggly now too. If I tell him to give our big stuffed teddy a hug, he will run over and fall on him and give him a big hug. Brody also loves to dance but is not quite as smooth as his brother. He flaps his hands, and stomps his foot while turning in circles. It is the funniest thing ever but he has the greatest time!

AUSTIN

Austie still holds onto the title of chunky baby. Although he weighs a little less than Caleb, he is much more "rolly" and chubby. He is definitly our most social and outgoing baby. When the door opens, he runs to see who it is and to say hi. He loves on pretty much anyone who will pick him up and gives big hugs, kisses, high fives, and all with a smile on his face. He is also our designated "nursery bully," whereas if he wants your toy...he will get it...by any means necessary. He can now say uh oh (fitting for him), mommy, daddy, up, hi, and no. He loves the word no. He will look at you like he is having a long conversation and you should know what he is saying but is still sounds like jibberish. He will pick up his play phone, hold it to his ear and say "Hi" just like his mom! He loves to dance when he hears music and actually has pretty good rythm. He sways his hips and waves his hands like he's doing the robot. He is learning to jog and goes up and down the hallway, stopping to say hi to anyone he sees. Austie is also really good at playing by himself, but he also really likes to show his brothers how much he loves them. He will give them big hugs (even when they don't want it) and try to snuggle them on the ground. He then squeezes his eyes closed and holds on tight like he wants to show them how excited he is to hug them. It's so sweet!

CALEB

Caleb has soared into the role of the biggest boy. He now weighs in at over 27 lbs and is just a tall, solid, thick baby boy. I think each of his cheeks weigh about 5 lbs each, but that's what makes him so darn cute! He is still just the sweetest, most lovable little guy who makes my life a little easier. He is very independent but very focused and determined. He finds a toy he likes and plays with it. Over and over and over. He loves to watch wheels turn, water splash, toys light up and sing. It lights up his face with delight and his cheeks look like they will burst. He squeals and laughs such a distinguished little laugh that just lights up the room. He is very laid back and carefree unless someone takes a toy that he is really into. That's the only time he really gets mad and won't stop until he gets what he wants. He mostly says mama but seems to soak in what the others are doing and will just start talking more when he feels he wants to. He has 4 top and 4 bottom teeth and his 4 molars are in. He loves it when daddy flips him in the air or chases him down the hallway.
