Can't believe it but these beasts are actually 18 months old. It kind of seems to mark a new chapter in our life because I also found out I am going back to work full time. That's right, FULL TIME! Crazy, but I'm excited. This past year at home with my beasts has been the absolute best thing ever and I will miss spending all our time together! These little guys are absolutly amazing and are growing and learning so much every day. They are such funny guys with such distinct personalities and I totally love them to pieces!
They are all weighing in at 27 pounds. Caleb is the heaviest, then Austin, the Brody. Caleb and Brody are both 33 1/2 inches tall and Austie is 33 in.

Park adventures...
Nothing too exciting in our neck of the woods, but we did discover a new park today. We absolutely love to go and find new parks that are "triplet" friendly; enclosed, not too many tall climbing toys, variety of toys, swings, far away from parking lot, but not too far of a walk from parking lot... you get the idea!!! The one we went to today is in Folsom and has a very cool play area and a huge water spray area. Unfortunately, the water area was out of order, but we still had a great time exploring the rest of the park!!!

SWIMMING
Swimming season is here and we are enjoying it to the fullest!!! We are still figuring out the perfect way to make swimming with three babies as easy and safe as possible so here is our newest attempt. These "outfits" are like a spandex suit with a bike tire blown up around the boys. Pretty interesting.....
oops...
We had a wonderful Father's day but at the end of the day I decided that Austin's hair was just a little too long. It was hot out....his hair was hanging in his face, over his ears, etc. We've always agreed to keep it longer, but I figured a trim wouldn't hurt. Well I was wrong. I told the lady after one snip that it was too short. Let's just say she didn't listen. Poor Austin's hair is no more. Yes, it will grow back; yes, he still is as cute as ever; no it's not that bad. But it just doesn't look like him anymore. So until our little surfer boy is back, it will be full of gel and styled to the side. Lesson learned!!!

We're on a roll!!!
I mean really??? ANOTHER blog?? Man, I'm actually kind of keeping up with this! Haha! We have had a busy week. Scotty and I celebrated an anniversary. The big 3 years. 3 years later, 3 kids later, and we're still going strong! We had a date night and got to go to dinner, shopping, and a movie. It was so nice to get out and just have some adult time. I think we only talked about the beasts for half of the dinner conversation :)
We officially kicked off swimming season. It's like we have totally different babies compared to last year. Caleb loves to sit on the top step and use buckets to scoop water over his head (kind of recreating bath time). Austin either floats around in his boat or splashes on the step with Caleb. Brody is the most confident in the water. He walks straight off the steps into the water and then doesn't want to be held. He wants to "swim" around by kicking his feet and splashing his arms. Definitly no longer a 2 person activity, but still very fun!
The boys are also getting very interested in chasing and wrestling. Caleb loves to chase Austin up and down the hallway. He gives Austin a little push in the back when he stops running and Austie laughs and keeps going. Brody and Austin are starting to wrestle. It starts as a hug and thens turns into a rolling match, with Scotty in the background shouting out what wrestling moves they are doing. Oh man.....I still can't believe I live with this many boys in the house :
Brody found daddy's flip flops and put his feet in and started walking around all by himself!

New dishes!!!
The beasts got some new forks and plates during our weekly trip to Target so we have spent the last few meals trying them out! The plates are "supposed" to suction onto their trays and then the boys are "supposed" to use their forks to eat nicely off of their plates. Easier said than done....
and..... HAPPY 17 month BIRTHDAY BOYS!!!! WOW!!!

I'm BACK!!!
Again, it's been too long. I'm going to attempt to make a personal goal now to blog once a week. At least. Can it be done?? We will see! So the boys are now almost 17 months. yikes! Where has time gone? Let me tell you it hasn't exactly been a "kick back" relaxed last few months. These boys are running, walking, climbing, wrestling, eating, babbling, exploring, and did I mention they are everywhere! A quick overview of the last few months as a whole, then I will break it down for each baby....I mean toddler.
They have all gotten their first haircuts. They have also all gotten a case (or two) of double ear infections, colds, chest colds, etc. They love playing with wheels, bubbles, and most of all anything that has water! When it's hot, we set up a water park in the backyard and they go crazy! We definitly have water babies. Too bad it's been so cold lately! We are now working on eating off of a plate with a fork. It's.....interesting. They definitly try hard but it's a work in progress! We also love going to gym class, playing in the park and trying to keep up with the big kids!

BRODY
Brody...my little Brody. He is about 25 lbs of lean, long baby. Most of his weight is probably in his head. Brody has definitly turned into mommy's baby. He loves when I'm in the room and let's me know how he feels when I'm not....very loudly. He is the best and most careful climber. He is our brainy baby. He aboslutly loves to get books, sit on a lap, and read and point out pictures. He can find certain pictures in books, and when he's done, he'll get up, grab another book and sit back down in your lap. He gets so proud of himself when he finds pictures and gives the biggest smile showing off all his teeth. He has all but his second molars in. He has a mouthful of pearly whites and makes sure to show them all when he smiles. Brody is the best wrestling partner for daddy. He loves to get knocked over, get back up and go after his daddy over and over. He is super snuggly now too. If I tell him to give our big stuffed teddy a hug, he will run over and fall on him and give him a big hug. Brody also loves to dance but is not quite as smooth as his brother. He flaps his hands, and stomps his foot while turning in circles. It is the funniest thing ever but he has the greatest time!
AUSTIN
Austie still holds onto the title of chunky baby. Although he weighs a little less than Caleb, he is much more "rolly" and chubby. He is definitly our most social and outgoing baby. When the door opens, he runs to see who it is and to say hi. He loves on pretty much anyone who will pick him up and gives big hugs, kisses, high fives, and all with a smile on his face. He is also our designated "nursery bully," whereas if he wants your toy...he will get it...by any means necessary. He can now say uh oh (fitting for him), mommy, daddy, up, hi, and no. He loves the word no. He will look at you like he is having a long conversation and you should know what he is saying but is still sounds like jibberish. He will pick up his play phone, hold it to his ear and say "Hi" just like his mom! He loves to dance when he hears music and actually has pretty good rythm. He sways his hips and waves his hands like he's doing the robot. He is learning to jog and goes up and down the hallway, stopping to say hi to anyone he sees. Austie is also really good at playing by himself, but he also really likes to show his brothers how much he loves them. He will give them big hugs (even when they don't want it) and try to snuggle them on the ground. He then squeezes his eyes closed and holds on tight like he wants to show them how excited he is to hug them. It's so sweet!
CALEB
Caleb has soared into the role of the biggest boy. He now weighs in at over 27 lbs and is just a tall, solid, thick baby boy. I think each of his cheeks weigh about 5 lbs each, but that's what makes him so darn cute! He is still just the sweetest, most lovable little guy who makes my life a little easier. He is very independent but very focused and determined. He finds a toy he likes and plays with it. Over and over and over. He loves to watch wheels turn, water splash, toys light up and sing. It lights up his face with delight and his cheeks look like they will burst. He squeals and laughs such a distinguished little laugh that just lights up the room. He is very laid back and carefree unless someone takes a toy that he is really into. That's the only time he really gets mad and won't stop until he gets what he wants. He mostly says mama but seems to soak in what the others are doing and will just start talking more when he feels he wants to. He has 4 top and 4 bottom teeth and his 4 molars are in. He loves it when daddy flips him in the air or chases him down the hallway.

Happy First Birthday!
Totally late, I KNOW, and I never shared anything about Christmas, but needless to say, this has been a LONG, BUSY, OVERWHELMING holiday season! It has also been full of memories, happy, fun, etc. The beasts officially turned one on Jan 2nd. We had a huge birthday bash with family and friends and I think are just finally recovering from the big event. The boys have ther 1 yr appt in a couple weeks, so I will post updates when we know, but here's what we've got so far:
Austin is now walking. It's not a full fledged walk everywhere, but he can take up to 10 steps to get somewhere very slowly. He knows when he wants to get there fast to crawl, but he's getting very close! yah! He has 4 top teeth and is working on his 3rd and 4th bottom tooth. He is totally our social baby who smiles, talks, hugs and snuggles. He is also a little sensitive at times, but who can't love that :)
Brody is the climber. He climbs and crawls and gets into everything! He hears when we say no and just gives us the biggest smile like he knows he's doing something wrong. He isn't too interested in walking yet, but we figure once he sees his brothers do it he will want to. He has 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth. He LOVES to wrestle and play fight with Daddy. He is a pretty tough guy and gives Daddy and run for his money!
Caleb is also walking! The day after their birthday he started to take a bunch of steps on his own. He smiles and starts to clap his hands when he walks because he thinks it's so much fun! It's so cute! He has 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth. He is the most piggy of all the boys. He can eat forever and will eat pretty much anything you put in front of him. He shoves it into his chipmumk cheeks until they are stuffed full. He is a total Mommy's boy (yay!) and loves anything that lights up and sings!
